Welcome to EasyTimeManager! Here’s how to begin your first focus session in under a minute.

1. Create a Task

In the main window, you'll see a text box labeled "What are you working on?". Simply type the name of your task (e.g., "Write Project Proposal") and press Enter or click the play button.

2. The Timer Starts

That's it! Your timer is now running. The app will automatically log the time you spend on this task. You can pause the timer at any time by clicking the pause button.

πŸ… The Pomodoro Timer

The Pomodoro Technique is a powerful method for fighting procrastination. It encourages you to work in focused 25-minute sprints, separated by short breaks.

How it Works

When you start a task, the app automatically begins a 25-minute countdown. Work on your task without distractions until the timer rings. The app will then notify you to take a 5-minute short break.

After four "Pomodoros," the app will prompt you to take a longer 15-minute break. This cycle is designed to maximize focus and prevent burnout.

You can adjust the length of your focus sessions and breaks in the Settings menu to fit your personal workflow.

πŸ€– Idle Time Detection

We all get distracted or step away from the computer. EasyTimeManager has an intelligent assistant to ensure your time logs remain accurate.

What Happens When You're Away?

If the app detects you've been inactive (no mouse or keyboard movement) for a few minutes, it will pause your timer. When you return, a pop-up will ask what you want to do with that idle time:

  • Keep Time: If you were still working (e.g., reading a book), you can include the idle period in your session.
  • Discard Time: If you were on a break, you can discard the idle period to keep your log precise.

Understanding where your time goes is the first step to managing it better. Our reports give you a clear, visual breakdown of your productivity.

Viewing Your Analytics

Navigate to the "Reports" section to see a summary of your work. You can view your time broken down by day, week, or month. See which tasks are consuming the most time with our easy-to-read charts.

Exporting to Excel

Need to create an invoice or share your progress? Simply click the Export to Excel button. This will generate a detailed spreadsheet of your selected time frame, perfect for professional use.

We believe your time data is your personal property. Unlike many other time trackers, we have a strict privacy-first policy.

Local-First Data

All your time tracking data is stored **locally on your computer**. We do not have servers that collect, view, or analyze your activity. Your data never leaves your device unless you choose to use the cross-device sync feature.

The app contains absolutely no third-party advertising or analytical trackers. Your focus is paramount, and we are committed to providing a clean, distraction-free environment.
